update.. penny is now 12 weeks old

So Penny is now 12 weeks old, and so much is changing!!!
She has slept through the night every night for a consecutive 7 days (hooray for us!)
We have moved her from our room to her big girl crib... again, HOORAY FOR PRIVATE TIME!!!
She is turning herself onto her sides while playing on the floor, for some reason she stopped rolling herself over about a week after she had started doing it the first time, but she is showing interest in doing it again, this time from back to front!
She loves to stand up and she tries to sit up by herself often, my girl is getting so big!
She finally laughed for Mommy yesterday, and she has the CUTEST giggle!!!
Starting Monday, she will be visiting her Grandma's a little more often, as I have to return to work (blah)... luckily, I only have to work 1/2 days, so i will be home by 2 at the latest. I am reluctant to leave her, but I know she will be fine and that she will have fun visiting her grandmas so that makes it a little easier for me.
On Sunday we are going to the Long Beach Aquarium with Kristina, that should be a fun trip!

a few new accomplishments

penny will now talk to anyone, or anything (for example, the teddy bears on her mobile that hangs on the port-a-crib), she has laughed for Grandma Char, and her Aunties Patti and Sarah BUT still not for mom and dad ... she grabs her clothes and anything nearby that she can reach, and she LOVES playing with her tongue (another new find)... you should see her all day... sticking her tongue out like a little lizard, so adorable!! thats about it... I have to go back to work in a few weeks, i'm not too happy about that, but at least we will have a little more money coming in... :/ boo to work.

Penny Jo... 10 weeks

So Penny is now ten weeks old, and the changes are happening quickly!! Already she loves to look around (she HATES being held in a position where she can't see what is happening around her!), loves to be outside on walks, and loves to play with her soft toys. She is always smiling and has started to giggle (although only in her sleep so far except for one occassion for Aunty Sarah). She now grabs her clothes and pulls on them, and will grab and pull anything in her reach that is soft and cuddly (blankets, stuffed animals, you name it). Today I took her in the shower with me for the first time and she LOVED it! She started getting smiley when I let the water run on her belly, and especially liked having it sprinkle on her toes! She is starting to get a little chunky too, in fact, that's what I call her (Chunk-chunk, or Chunky Monkey)... Ryan thinks I will give her a complex by calling her that, but he now calls her Chunk too, so who's giving the complex now?!?

Getting Older...

Penny is 2 months old now, at her last doctor's checkup, she had gained 3 lbs in just one month!!! amazing what breastfeeding can do to kids..

Ryan is loving his job at Time Warner Cable Communications, it has been the best career change for him, there is nothing negative about this place i swear!!

Still dont know if I am going to go back to work once "bonding" time is over, but I seriously doubt that I will be going to Ford whether or not I go back to work.. that place is just so negative and I know that they would hassle me about needing a day off here or there should Penny have a Dr appt or get sick. Hoping to find something that I can do from home that isn't selling Avon or Tupperware lol

First update

Decided to set up a blog on here because its a little easier than myspace.. go figure!

Penny is 2 weeks old as of monday (june 24) and she is growing fast, she is still long and skinny, but she is starting to put on some of her baby fat.

Ryan is loving his job at Time Warner, he is constantly telling people that it was a career change he does not regret, which is so awesome to hear.

I will be returning to school soon, we decided to have me finish up my degree before we are done having kids, that way when we do have all three or four munchkins i can just go straight into teaching rather than having to wait longer.

More kids coming soon... we just havent decided HOW soon.. could be as early as the end of this year or early next year... we will see how the situation presents itself.
